One of the most important deadlines for the IBDP is coming up soon: internal assessments are due in October. The internal assessment is an independent project that is required for most IB courses. Requirements differ from course to course; for example, a science course would require laboratory work, while history classes require historical analysis. IAs are graded by teachers, and these grades are then reviewed by IB examiners to ensure the IB grading rubric has been followed properly.
Since the IA counts for at least 20% of a student’s grade (up to 50% in some courses), it’s important to take it seriously. For kids who have trouble getting a handle on the assignment, a tutor might be best. NTK’s private tutorials are among the most important services that we offer. Our trained teachers can steer students through the roughest parts of the individual assessment and put them on course to a great final grade.
